PILLAR ONE · CULTURAL INNOVATION LABS ·
Our Cultural Innovation Labs are dynamic experimental spaces for broad collaboration to develop bold, creative solutions tailored to the unique challenges of Canada’s cultural sector. Designed to foster innovation and practical application, these labs bring together diverse perspectives in an environment that encourages experimentation and problem-solving.
Each year, we aim to support 3-5 major projects, offering grants, dedicated workspaces, and access to mentorship and expertise to create innovative solutions that address the issues and needs being faced by cultural institutions today.
PILLAR TWO · LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ·
The Learning Institute is committed to equipping tomorrow’s cultural leaders with the skills they need to navigate a rapidly changing sector. Our leadership program focuses on building competencies in strategic planning, communication, conflict resolution, and team building using leading digital tools, while addressing broader issues like inclusion, relevance, sustainability, and innovation.
By fostering personal leadership skills and building confidence to tackle complex challenges, we prepare the next generation to lead the cultural sector toward a vibrant, equitable future.
PILLAR 3 · PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ·
Through the publishing arm of Cultural Futures Books, the Learning Institute will nurture Canadian thought leadership, offering a platform for cultural practitioners to share their work and ideas. Our workshops, instructor-led and self-paced online courses, mentorship programs, annual symposium, and networking opportunities are designed to foster sustainable careers for emerging professionals.
By strengthening connections across the sector and equipping the next generation with the tools and confidence to succeed, we aim to build a resilient and thriving cultural workforce across Canada.
PILLAR 4 · THOUGHT LEADERSHIP ·
The Cultural Futures eBookstore will provide access to the world’s leading voices in museum studies and cultural leadership and practice, offering invaluable insights to Canadian cultural workers at a time when visionary leadership is critically needed. Our publishing arm will provide a platform for Canadian authors to share new works with cultural practitioners in online classes and through our Booked! author events.
Through these two non-profit social enterprises, we are committed to nurturing Canadian thought leadership for the decade ahead, empowering the cultural sector to claim its rightful space of authority and influence in today’s marketplace.

Cultural Organization · Variable
Membership for cultural institutions and organizations across all cultural domains in Canada. Join a growing network of institutions, including museums, libraries, theaters, galleries, publishers, film centers, sound recording studios, and more.
- Up to 10 staff and/or Board members enrolled under the organization's member, who are eligible to receive discounted program fees and access to member-only events, resources and content. Up to an additional 10 staff can be enrolled at a cost of $10 / person.

- 50% online course enrollment and 25% off all workshops and classes fees.
- 50% off enrollment fees in the Maple Cultural Rewards Affiliate Program.

Our Cultural Organization membership fee is calculated based on your total operating budget (excluding special or non-annual project budgets).
